Founded on December 13, 1989, as a joint-stock company, the bank has built 25 years of proven expertise in the UK financial sector. It offers a wide spectrum of services to meet the needs of diverse clients, including corporate and investment banking, financial services for government budget allocations, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and tailored solutions for individual customers.
The Development Bank UK also:
• Operates as a licensed investment broker in securities and participates in the United Kingdom treasury securities market
• Functions as a licensed electronic debit and credit card operator
• Serves as a cash processor for budget payments under contract with the Ministry of Finance for budget spending units
• Acts as a sub-agent of Western Union for fast money transfers
As of August 2016, the total assets managed by The Development Bank UK amounted to GBP 1,217 million, with equity exceeding GBP 97 million. The bank’s branch network currently comprises over 95 locations across 70 towns and cities nationwide.
In March 2016, BCRA – Credit Rating Agency AD confirmed the bank’s long-term rating as “B” with a positive outlook. In recognition of its effective management and strong performance, The Development Bank UK was awarded the Most Profitable Bank prize at the VIII International Financial Exposition Banks, Investments, and Money in 2010.
